The Secret World's freeform progression system explained

in News, Secret World

Secret World Free-form Progression We have all heard about the societies in the upcoming modern day MMO "The Secret World." It's not the only thing that makes Secret World a unique MMO game. The game will also feature a free-form progression system unlike the traditional leveling system in MMOs. Funcom released a new developer video to explain this unique system.

The Secret World - Freeform Progression

Funcom's upcoming MMO "The Secret World" doesn't have the Experience Points / Level system. It features a unique system that's called "Freeform Progression".

This system allows players to gain experience points to learn new skills and abilities instead of leveling up for stats. This is in theory a fascinating idea but we will have to wait a little bit longer to actually see how that goes in practice.

Watch this new developer video released yesterday by Funcom. In the video, lead Designer Martin Bruusgaard and Lead Content Designer Joel Bylos talks about what makes the Progression system unique and how it will redefine the way you play.
