TERA Goes Free To Play in Korea

Some say, almost all subscription based are destined to go free to play at a point. Really, this seems to have been the case in recent years. The latests reports hint on a possible free to play transformation for the North American version of TERA. Maybe in 2013. The hint is, KTERA, the Korean TERA is announced to go free to play on January 10th. Continue reading for the details of this transformation.

TERA: Free to play Transformation - Korea First?

No, we are not going to speculate anything here. But, if you have followed our TERA Diary earlier this year, you also should know what a huge TERA fan we are. Now this is big news to us and all TERA fans. Korean version of the MMORPG is officially going free to play on January 10th. There is also a content update, a major update, on the horizon. This update will introduce the new version of the political system, new items and a series of changes to the instance dungeon and monster hunt.

We will be finding out more soon enough. Don't get all excited about a free to play TERA for North America an Europe yet. Japan will most probably follow in Q1 2013 first.
