World of Tanks publisher takes it beyond online games
We knew World of Tanks developer Wargaming took gaming seriously when it came to designing the tanks as realistic as possible. They even had blog posts on the site telling us a lot about the history of tanks. What we never could have imagined was that Wargaming would actually sponsor a real life tank event. Wargaming will sponsor Tank Museum's 10th Tankfest.
World of Tanks publisher Wargaming to sponsor Tankfest 2012
World of Tanks is surely a fascinating game, and the developer of the game; Wargaming is taking it beyond just designing games. It has been obvious that the developers did a lot of researching before they designed the hundreds of tanks in game. This time, the publisher decided to sponsor Tankfest, an event that is one of the most established annual British military history shows which brings the story of tanks and soldiers to life.
The Tankfest 2012 will be held at The Bovington Tank Museum, from June 30th till July 1st. Wargaming.net will be there at the Tankfest with its virtual models of the British tanks.
Wargaming.net CEO Victor Kislyi spoke about their participation in Tankfest 2012 and said:
"This will be the second time World of Tanks is participating to this event. Last year's show was truly amazing - not just for the amount of people that came to our booth, but for the variety of community players from all around Europe who came to spend time with us"
I personally know a lot of fans of World of Tanks that are also into the history of tanks. This is going to be a fantastic opportunity of the fans of the game and developers to relate themselves with the history of the steel armour at their disposal in World of Tanks.
