Rift's Storm Legion Enters Closed Beta This Friday

Rift's upcoming expansion is Storm Legion. Today, Trion Worlds announced the first Closed Beta date for the expansion. This Friday, October 5th, Rift: Storm Legion will enter the Closed Beta testing #1. So, the test will be from Friday until Sunday night. Players who have pre-purchased the expansion will be given access to the CBT#1 and the following tests.

I haven't seen many MMO's benefit too much from going retail but it's still great for us MMO gamers to finally purchase the boxed version of our favorite MMO's. Bigpoint's three successful browser based MMO titles Drakensang Online, Pirate Storm and Battlestar Galactica Online are going to be released by Excalibur Publishing this autumn. CCP Games announced the upcoming expansion for its Sci-Fi MMO Eve Online. Eve Online's next expansion is called "Retribution" and it is going to be released in December. Retribution is the beginning of a new era in Eve Universe following a year of turmoil. Bounty Hunting, Crimewatch, new ships and new roles are among the new features of the next expansion.
