Riot Games: LoL Is No Laughing Matter

If anyone says MMO games are not popular anymore, just show them this infographic. Riot Games released an infographic that shows valuable stats from League of Legends and compared it to other franchises and networks. With its 32 million active users, League of Legends is not only the most played MMO game in the world, it's also the number one video game in the world when it comes to daily active users. Read on to see this infographic.

Riot Games' Infographic Shows League of Legends as the most popular video game in the world

League of Legends is definitely the most popular MOBA but I bet you knew little about its user base. Take a look at the infographic below that was released earlier by the game's publisher Riot Games. League of Legends has over 70 million registered users. Even better, it has 32 million monthly active players (monthly active refers to a player that logs on at least once a month). And the best of all, the game has 12 million daily active users. That makes League of Legends the most popular video game in the world. Riot Games compared it to Instagram users, which stands at 7.5million daily. It also beats call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, which is in third place with 3.3 million daily active users.

The concurrency record for League of Legends is also incredible. That's not one million but it's three million concurrent users. Infographic also shows that 90% of League of Legends players are male. (no surprise there!)
