Defiance production begins today

Sci-Fi fan MMO gamer's dream MMORPG "Defiance" will be released April 2013 along with the same titled TV Series on Sy-Fy. Today, the TV Series production begins in Toronto, ON under the production of Kevin Murphy and Michael Taylor. If you want a solid story in an MMORPG, Defiance is your game. Defiance - TV Series production begins today

Thansk to the partnership between SyFy and Trion Worlds, MMO gaming and TV comes together. Defiance will be the first MMO ever that will have the storyline of a TV drama series. Both the game and the TV show will debut April 2013.

Defiance takes Sci-Fi fans and MMO gamers to a transformed planet Earth following the arrival of seven alien races. Set in a near future, humans and alien races will have to learn how to live on the same planet peacefully. The TV Show will feature a setting in the boom-town of Defiance that is atop the ruins of St Louis. And the fans of the MMO shooter will try to survive in the San Francisco Bay Area. TV Show and the game will exist in a single universe, giving the fans of the game a unique experience.

This all sounds amazing but what makes it even more promising is that the producer of the TV Show is Kevin Murphy whom we know from Caprica and Michael Taylor that we know from Battlestar Galactica. In 2013, we might be up for the MMO experience of our lives!
