Diablo 3 players continue reporting hacked accounts

Blizzard's Diablo 3 launch was not a smooth one but the latest reports on the official forums and a couple of other sites, victimized players are getting their accounts hacked and they lose their items and gold. Continue reading for the latest reports.
According to the post here, Blizzard's Diablo 3 has not been a great experience for some players who have had their accounts stolen. Although, Blizzard has not yet confirmed any hacked accounts, obviously a remarkable number of players continue to report stolen accounts and looted items, gold. Even the writer Christian Donlaw at Eurogamer has reported that his account was hacked and transfered to another player.

It looks like Battle.net session identifier () is allowing hackers to take control of other accounts but this is only reported by players and to be honest it seems very unlikely. Again, Blizzard has not even confirmed anything yet but they rolled-back the servers after the rumors on Sunday.
As long as Blizzard is rolling back or taking some kind of action, this shouldn't be taken too seriously. It is surely very frustrating for the player who has had his account stolen and lost items but we expect Blizzard to fix this soon. We will keep an eye on this and see what Blizzard has to say about this issue but the latest they reported about was the Diablo 3 Soundtrack going live on iTunes. That must have annoyed some of the players who have been dealing with lost items. Patience...patience...

As players worry about their accounts, Blizzard publish soundtrack on iTunes.
