Runes of Magic now plays in browser too

Thanks to Kalydo streaming technology, Runes of Magic now has a browser based version too. Players will be able to choose between the normal client and browser version. Both versions offer the same quality of game and the browser based version takes players to character creation in 30 seconds!

We're getting there, to the point that we'd play all our beloved MMOs in web browsers. Another popular MMORPG, Runes of Magic (read review here) supports in-browser gaming now. Frogster just announced the new browser based version in Europe.

Kalydo streaming technology is what's behind the new browser based version of Runes of Magic. Once a player downloads the Kalydo plugin,instead of the 8GB game client of ROM, the streaming begins. While the game is being streamed in the background, players can login and start creating their characters right away.

This absolutely perfect for players who don't like downloading large game clients. Even At DevilsMMO.com, we have had staff who complained about downloading game clients as large as 16 GB's, so it's nice to see such streaming technologies.
