Guild Wars 2: Final Beta to showcase Asura and Sylvari

If you are waiting for the final Beta Weekend of Guild Wars 2, scheduled to launch this Friday, make sure you spare all your weekend as there is so much new content in the final beta version of the game. Guild Wars 2 Final Beta Weekend - New Features Announced

ArenaNet just announced the details of Guild Wars 2's Final Beta Weekend! The amount of new content is massive, so sit back and enjoy reading about the new features, before you get your gaming gear ready for an exciting GW2 weekend.

First of all, there will be two new playable races in the final beta weekend of Guild Wars 2. One of these new races is Sylvari. Sylvari is the enigmatic race of humanoid plants in Tyria.

Sylvari's creator Ree Soesbee talked about her creation and said: "I hope players come away from this weekend with a better sense of the Sylvari as a race. I hope they'll love the sylvari voices—the PC ones, in particular, are amazing!—and getting to see the Grove and soak in all its wonders. "

The second race which will debut this weekend in GW2 is the Asura. Asuran characters have been created by Matt Barrett. He described his feelings about his creation: "Making the visually and culturally distinctive world of the asura was a huge, complex job, and I think players will be as intrigued by the asura as I was..."

Mini Games in Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2 will have several mini-games for players to entertain themselves when they want to relax a little bit. Mini-games are common in some MMO's and they are perfect for hardcore fans who spend hours on the game everyday. It looks like ArenaNet has been working hard on mini-game ideas for GW2. The first mini-game that we will see this weekend, is the Keg Braw. 

Players will be forming two teams and attempt to score points by toting a full keg of ale across an icy lake and take it into their team's collector. Team members will be able to take on their opponents and tackle them, kick them and to take the control of the keg. 

Guild Wars 2 - Final Beta Weekend - Other Features

There are even more new features to be introduced in Final Beta Testing of GW2. There is the new feature "Vistas" that help players discover hidden locations in the world of Tyria.
