SWTOR: multiple fixes arriving soon

in News, SWTOR

SWTOR input delay issues to be fixedStar Wars The Old Republic has had intense arguments at the official message boards for the last few days regarding the Ilum issue and the ability delay which frustrated thousands of players, specifically in PvP matches. Thank god, Bioware engineers seem to have fixed these problems.

If you have not heard of the Ilum issue, you can read about it here. To summarize, it was an issue related to open world PvP area post ILUM that frustrated some of the SWTOR players.

Bioware's George Zoeller explained how their engineers have been fixing these problems. According to his post here, the ability delay and player input problems were affecting mostly the players with computers with dual-core processors. The delay issue, as you can imagine, have been a nightmare for players in fast paced PvP matches. Imagine yourself in PvP action and your input is delayed. That would really be annoying.

Long story short, Zoeller says the engineers are almost done with fixing these issues and the patch is going to be rolled out soon.

Hopefully next week sometime, we can go back to playing SWTOR without the annoying issues. (at least the issues we have discovered yet)

We are in the later stages of testing a fix for the problem and hope to be able to roll it out to the servers very soon.
